PHYSICAL INTRODUCTION
R1234yf is a new environmentally friendly refrigerant with a GWP of only 4, which is 97%* lower than the value required by the EU Automotive Air Conditioning (MAC) Directive and 99.7% lower than R134a. It is a near-perfect direct substitute for R134a, with little impact on the environment as it breaks down into harmless substances and disappears from the atmosphere within 11 days.
