Refrigerant R500


R500 is an azeotrope of 73.8%-R12/26.2%-R152a(weight ratio). Its ODP value of 0738 is about 27% less destructive than R12 on layer 0. Its component R152a is very close to the liquid and gas ratio of R12, and there is no problem of the refrigerant component composition change in the refrigerator due to leakage. It is also compatible with the lubricating oil and materials of the refrigerator. It is not combustible. The toxicity level is 5a, which is similar to R12.


R500 Refrigerant steel cylinder is a pressurized container. Keep it away from fire, heat, and direct exposure to sunlight. Usually, store it in a cool, dry, and ventilated warehouse. When handling, light loading and unloading should be carried out to prevent cylinder and valve and other accessories from damage.


As a medium and low temperature refrigerant widely used today, R500 has good comprehensive performance and is mainly used in household air conditioners, small and medium-sized commercial air conditioners, mobile air conditioners, dehumidifiers, freeze-type dryers, Marine refrigeration equipment, industrial refrigeration and other refrigeration equipment. As a transitional substitute for R12, R500 has a good application prospect.
