Introductions

R125 refrigerant is a main building block for blended refrigerants used as replacements for R-502 and R-22. These blends include R410A which has become a leading replacement for R-22, R407C which was one of the first commercially available blends suitable for both retrofit and original equipment use of R-22 systems and R407A, a lower GWP alternative to R404A and R507.

Applications

An important composition for refrigerant blends. Substitution for FCF-502 and HCFC-22 as refrigerant.

Substitution for Halon-1211 and Halon-1301 as a fire extinguishing agent.

Handling & Storage

R125 refrigerant cylinder is a pressurized container, which should be stored away from fire, heat source, avoid direct sunshine, and usually stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. When handling, it should be lightly loaded and unloaded to prevent damage to cylinders and valve accessories.
