REFRIGERANT R23

Introductions

R23 is used in very low temperature refrigeration systems. The most common application is in cascade refrigeration systems in the range -40°C to -80°C. R23 can also be used to replace R13 in some equipment.

Applications

R23 is used from high temperature process chilling, through to very low temperature applications such as those used in medical freezers or LNG liquefaction. 

Handling & Storage

R23 refrigerant cylinder is a high pressurized container, which should be stored away from fire, heat source, avoid direct sunshine, and usually stored in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. When handling, it should be lightly loaded and unloaded to prevent damage to cylinders and valve accessories.
