REFRIGERANT R600a

Introductions

R600a, isobutane, chemical formula C4H10. R600a is a hydrocarbon refrigerant – it has no damage to the ozone layer, and the greenhouse effect is very small. It is the most environmentally friendly refrigerant. From an environmental point of view, almost all countries in the world are using R600a refrigerant in new refrigeration equipment. There are no restrictions on the initial installation and the use during the after-sales maintenance.

Applications

R600a is mainly used to replace R12 and R134a refrigerants in refrigerators, freezers and other small refrigeration equipment. Because R600a is flammable, it is usually only used in cryogenic refrigeration equipment with less liquid filling and is also commonly used as a mixed refrigerant. As a component, R600a is compatible with conventional lubricants.

Handling & Storage

R600a refrigerant cylinders are pressurized containers. Keep them away from fire, heat, and direct sunlight. Store them in a cool, dry and ventilated warehouse. Lightly load and unload during handling to prevent damage to cylinders and valves.

Lubricant Recommendation

Which refrigeration oil to choose in different equipments and different application sites should be determined according to the recommendations of the refrigeration compressor and refrigeration (air conditioning) equipment manufacturers, or according to the specific conditions of the refrigeration compressor and refrigeration equipment. And the refrigerating machine oil required by the technician, that is, the equivalent refrigerating machine oil.
